Zone 2 Meet Details for this Weekend

Brian Pursley

Hello Hurricane Families-

The Zone 2 meet is this weekend at DU and we have a lot of the team attending this meet!

The meet program (heat sheet), psych sheet, timeline, and the parking permit have all been uploaded to the meet page on our website.  Click the meet name and scroll down to all of the attached documents.

Please make sure to print out the parking permit at home!

We have many timing responsibilities at this meet because we have so many families attending.  We have created a sign up genius that has broken each session into two shifts.  You can see the shifts available in real time, please check it periodically to make sure we have all shifts covered before the meet starts.  If you are attending the meet, please sign up for a timing shift.  Even if you haven't done it before, please sign up.  It is the easiest job there is.  Check the timeline document to see when your swimmer's last event is so that you can sign up for a shift that fits the timeframe your swimmer is participating in the meet.

You can access the sign up genius here.

The meet schedule is as follows:

12&Under Sessions Friday, Saturday, and Sunday:

Warm-Ups in Lane 3 from 8:50-9:20am, Meet Starts at 9:30am

There will be no permanent seating in the stands behind the blocks.  Parents are expected to rotate through the viewing bleachers whentheir swimmer is in the water.  No chairs or blankets will be allowed to be set in place in these bleachers.  Permanent seating will be available eiher in the concourse right outside the pool area, or in the gymnasium right across the hall.  Adequate signage will point all families to the right spot.  Swimmers are welcome to find a spot on deck through the course of the meet.  If you have questions, come find me on deck and I can point you in the right direction.

This will be the last meet of the season for most of our swimmers.  The only meets remaining after this weekend are the various championship meets that all have qualifying times.  There will be anoher email sent out within 24 hours announcing the State Championship registration deadlines for each of those meets.

If you have any questions, please reach out to your primary coach.

See you at the pool-
