HURRICANE SEASON FINALE at MEYERS POOL

SAT/SUN MARCH 14TH-15

This meet is for all swimmers that have times below Silver State or Senior State. We are hosting this bronze level state meet.  THAT MEANS THAT ALL FAMILES (whether your kids are participating in or not swimming this meet) ARE REQUIRED TO WORK THIS MEET!! We need the whole team to volunteer in order to make this meet a success. CAT 4 & 5 swimmers not entered who are not at Sectionals will BE EXPECTED TO work a session. All parents need to take a session or two.  Those with kids swimming the meet should volunteer for more than one session. It is a huge fundraiser for us. Please sign up quickly to guarantee your preferred job. The sign-up genius can be accessed here and on the team website home page.

Beginning in April, after the short course season ends, COACH NATHAN will be cutting back his hours in an effort to spend much more time with his family and to focus on his new bicycle business. Coach Jeff Armstrong will be responsible for CAT 2 and CAT 3 in addition to CAT 4 & CAT5 until a new age group coach is hired.  Nathan will be working Wednesdays and Fridays across all groups and as needed. The team wants to thank Coach Nathan for his years of dedication and service to the team thus far and wish him happiness and success as he transitions to his new part-time role with us and in his new venture.

PLEASE TAKE THIS USASWIMMING SURVEY ON VOLUNTEERING & EMAIL IT BACK TO MR.SCHIELD:

Hi, My name is Tommy Schield, and I work in the communications department at USA Swimming. With the help of Arlene McDonald and the LSC Development Committee, USA Swimming has created a month-long campaign in March called #1VolunTeam. This digital campaign is aimed at showing the positive impact our countless volunteers are making across the country. However, in order to capture the great work you are doing, we need to hear from you!

If you could please take a few moments and circulate the attached survey to your club’s volunteers, it would be greatly appreciated. The survey should take less than 10 minutes to complete, and it will be extremely helpful in providing content for the campaign to tell your story. The responses will be used on both usaswimming.org and USA Swimming’s social media channels. We also encourage you to share the survey on your club’s social media channels!
