Evergreen Hurricanes Newsletter July 8, 2010

LET'S GO RAFTING!!
Join your Hurricane teammates on a rafting adventure down the Colorado River and Glenwood Canyon on Monday, August 2, at 11:15am.  The cost is $38/adults, $28/under 15 for a 2 to 3 1/2 hour rafting trip conducted by Blue Sky Adventures.  Click here for the flier and the waiver; rsvp by July 26th to Bill Coughlin at eaglecouglin@q.com, or 303-903-5194.  Payment by cash or check (payable to Evergreen Swim Team) should be given to Coach Jeff by July 26th; you must have the signed waiver(s) with you on August 2 in order to participate.

CHANGES IN BILLING FOR 2010-11 SEASON
In order to simplify the billing process, we will no longer be offering the Trimester payment method beginning this September.  There are now two options: You can pay in full (and receive one month of dues free), or pay monthly.  There will no longer be a $5.00 per month service charge for paying monthly.

Highschoolers will still get their 2 months free, however the free months for both BOYS AND GIRLS will be April and May.  We have had too many swimmers quit after swimming the H.S. season and getting their 2 months free, leaving the team with unpaid balances.

LONG COURSE SEASON DRAWING TO A CLOSE
We are in the final weeks of the 2010 Long Course Season, with the Senior Zone 2 Meet this weekend at Meyers Pool, and the Age Group Meet at Carmody Pool next weekend.  The Long Course State Meet will be held this year in Grand Junction at two pools - Mesa State for the 12 and unders, and Lincoln Park/Moyer Pool for the 13-14s and Seniors.  Maps to the pools have been added to the "Directions to Pools" tab on the website; they are actually located across the street from one another.  The team has had a terrific season so far, and the coaches are expecting some great swims at these final meets!  We will also have swimmers at the Western Zones meet in San Jose, CA, and Junior Nationals in Irvine, CA, from August 10-14th.

The last day of practice will be Thursday, July 29th.
