Evergreen Hurricanes Newsletter February 27, 2010

We are currently in the midst of the Silver State and Senior State meets at DU, and our swimmers' times are falling like the spring snow - with tons of personal bests and several new JO times coming out of these meets!  Coach Jeff will post the results on the Meets page of the website under the "results" column for each meet, so you can go there for the details after Monday.

The State 14 & under Meet (JOs) is coming up next weekend in Fort Collins, and Sectionals is in Washington the week after.

Our next home meet is on Sunday, March 21st.  This meet is an opportunity for those who did not qualify for a championship meet to round out their short course season, and gives all our swimmers one more chance to polish up those short course times.  Watch for a Team Update with volunteer assignments once they are ready.  If you know you have a conflict, please email Freda Malazdrewicz, our volunteer coordinator, at malazfam@hotmail.com

TEAM BREAK, 3/29 - 4/04
The team will take a break from practice to coincide with JeffCo schools' Spring Break, from March 29 through April 4.  Practice will resume on Monday, April 5th, when the team shifts into long course season, which runs from March through the LC Championships in late July and early August.

Wed, 3/4: Entry deadline for TOPS meet
Wed, 3/10: Entry deadline for Season Finale
Fri, 3/6:  Practice for all groups, 4:15-5:15pm

All Category 3 and 4 swimmers should be aware that there is no Saturday morning practice in the month of March, or on April 3.  Saturday practice will start up again on April 10th.  Enjoy that extra sleep!!

Email swim@outsidelogic.com if there is something you would like to see included in our newsletter or on the team website.
