Hurricane Sighting in Atlanta!
Lexie Malazdrewicz swam at the Junior Nationals meet in Atlanta, Georgia, on December 9-11, and broke team records in all of her swims!  She finished 8th overall in the 200 Back.  We are so proud of you, Lexie!!

Lindsay Morrow headed to Allstars!
Lindsay Morrow will join Team Colorado for the AllStars meet in Lawrence, Kansas, in January.  Congratulations, Lindsay, and good luck!! 

USA Swimming Updates Policies
USA Swimming is committed to fostering a safe and positive environment for all swimmers, and has released its updated policies regarding the supervision of swimmers. Please take the time to review this information, and know that our team is fully aware of and compliant with these guidelines. 

Suburban League Distance Invitational - Sunday
The North JeffCo distance meet is this Sunday at Meyers Pool in Arvada.  12 and unders swim in the morning session, and need to be at the pool at 7:20am.  Warmup times for the afternoon session (13 and overs) have not been posted yet, so you should check the Blog for information. 

New Billing System Coming in 2011
The team is in the process of implementing a new Online Billing/Registration/Payment Program that will provide a more efficient system for members, staff, and volunteers. We are trying to have it up and running for the February billing cycle. Please watch for further communication after the Holidays as we will need your participation.

Eight Hurricanes Qualify for Sectionals!
Three swimmers got their first sectionals cuts at the CSI Meet:  Anna McDonald, Jenn Belz, and Kamryn Holland.  They join other qualifiers Brad Belz; Josie Pearson; Lindsay Morrow; Lexie Malazdrewicz; and Ben Holland. Kudos to all!!

Hurricanes Complete Level One in USA Swimming Team Recognition Program Coach Jeff and Susan Kramer completed the first round of requirements for USA Swimming's team recognition program, and we have been awarded the Level One certificate.  This program offers swim clubs a working blueprint for developing strong, stable, financially sound and athletically productive organizations. There are four levels of recognition, which must be completed in turn.  We will work on the Level Two application in the new year.

Hotel for Short Course State Meet, March 4-6
We have reserved a block of rooms at the Homewood Suites (1521 Oakwood Drive) in Fort Collins for the State Meet in March. If your swimmer has qualified (or you think she/he might), you should call the hotel and reserve a room in your name from the Evergreen Swim Team block by February 2nd.  The telephone number is 970-225-2400.

Change in Saturday Practice Time for 12/18!
This Saturday's practice will be from 7:15- 8:30am
