NEW FACES ON DECK!  You may have noticed two new faces on deck lately.  We are pleased to report that two coaches have joined forces with Coach Jeff to work with the Hurricanes.

JULIA PARRINGTON   Coach Julia lives in Conifer and has been coaching the Evergreen Rec Center Adult Masters program for the last year.  She is a competitive triathlete as well as a certified triathlon and endurance coach.  As a triathlon coach, she has helped several of her masters athletes qualify for Age Group Nationals and a few of those (including herself) went on to qualify for Age Group World Championships.  Coach Julia was a competitive age group and high school swimmer for 12 years before taking some time off then turning to triathlons 3 years ago.  As a mom of 2 little boys, Julia is looking forward to her first season with the kids and getting back to her roots of competitive swimming.

KENT ALLEN  Coach Kent started coaching 1973, and retired in 1993.  He is currently residing in Evergreen, and has decided to lend a hand as a stroke coach a few days a week.  Among the highlights of his coaching career are stints as head age-group coach for Mission Viejo Colorado Swim Team and the Las Vegas Gold Swim Team, and Head Coach for the Nevada Rapids Swim Team in Las Vegas, NV, and for the Triad Swim Team in Aurora, CO.  In addition, he served as head coach of six high school swim teams (CHSAA and NSHAA).

GIRLS' HIGH SCHOOL SWIM SEASON HAS STARTED  Best of luck to our Hurricanes who are swimming for their High School Teams.  Coach Jeff will coach Conifer High School, both the girls and boys teams.  There will be times that he will miss our practices because of high school meets.  We are fortunate to have assistant Coach Julia and substitute Coach Lisa Morrow to fill in for him on these occasions.

HOLIDAY SCHEDULES: Be sure to check the team calendar  - no practice for Thanksgiving (Nov 27, 28, 29); Christmas (Dec 24-27); and New Years (Dec 31 and Jan 1).
PREPARE TO BE BLOWN AWAY!
