SO MUCH TO CELEBRATE!!!
The team had a fanstastic Short Course Season with our swimmers showing great improvement at every level.  Those who qualified and swam at Silver State, Senior State, and JOs had many terrific swims.

SHORT COURSE STATE MEET RECAP:
The Hurricanes finished 12th out of 72 teams at JOs, moving up four places from last year's standings.  The 10 and under girls finished 10th in the 200 Medley Relay (Kaitlyn Honnick, Kara Coughlin, Kate McDonald and Katelyn Kenchel) and 12th in the 200 Freestyle ((Kaitlyn Honnick, Kara Coughlin, Meghan Zehnder and Katelyn Kenchel).  The relay team of Jenn Belz, Lindsay Morrow, Josie Pearson, and Anna Mc Donald came in second in the 200 Medley and fourth in the 200 Freestyle.  Lexie Malazdrewicz broke six team records at State, and Josie Pearson broke the team record with a 1:05:24 in the 11-12 girls 100 Butterfly. Mitch Kilgore swam a 1:01:32 for second place in the 13-14 100 Back, and Lindsay Morrow swam the 50 back in 30:71 to take second place for 11-12 girls.

CATCH THE SPIRIT CAMP:
Congratulations to Lindsay Morrow, Jenn Belz, Kara Coughlin, Anna McDonald, and Josie Pearson for being invited to this exciting camp which will be held at DU in April.  A swimmer is selected by being in the top 25 for points at the state meet.

SUPER SUCCESS AT SPEEDO SECTIONALS!!
Craig Fowler and Lexie Malazdrewicz traveled to Federal Way, Washington, right after JOs to compete in the Speedo Sectionals.  They both had some amazing swims, and Lexie broke four team records.  Craig swam a 22:45 in the time trials for the 50 free.  Awesome!

SUMMER IS COMING!
The board of directors has decided that the fee schedule for summer will be the same as it was last year.  Those swimmers who have paid all their annual and family fees will only have to pay monthly dues and meet fees for June and July.  Swimmers joining the team after May 18 for May, June, and July will pay the Summer Rate of $200 for Cat 1; $225 for Cat 2; and $275 for Cat 3 which includes the USA Swimming membership fee.  Placement is determined by Coach Jeff, and may depend on space available.  pearsoncabin@earhtlink.net

EST COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
As part of the Evergreen Swim Team Financial Aid Program, the team has traditionally offered the opportunity for graduating seniors who have been committed Hurricanes swimmers to apply for a college scholarship. Any team member who is a graduating senior intending to continue his/her education, and who is a member in good standing with the swim team, can apply for a scholarship. The application deadline is April 1st.  All information can be found on the website under Financial Aid.
