The Word from the Board:

Happy Holidays, everyone! We want to thank all the families for their support of the team.  We are a volunteer organization, and we are so fortunate to have families who are willing to pitch in and help with tasks large and small.  Many, many thanks to all of you!

Special appreciation goes out this month to Lisa Morrow and Kathy Lahr who have filled in for Coach Jeff.  Thanks for keeping the kids moving through the water!

The team is doing very well in competition - check out the results of the DU Suburban League Distance Meet.

The Lifeguard Store was having some staffing issues but they are now fully staffed and have updated the Hurricanes Team Store with lots of new items for your swimmers.

Finally, it was great to see so many of you at the all-team practice and Beau Jo's night!  (thanks for your patience with the laid-back service!)  Our next team social will be a movie night on Friday, January 25th at CampGrounds. Watch for details in early January.

Wishing you all a wonderful holiday season and all the best in the New Year!

Holiday Break Practices:
Yes, Virginia, there is practice during school break.  On Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve, there is practice from 11:00am -1:00pm for all Categories.  No practice on Christmas Day or New Year's Day.  On Wed/Thurs/Fri of both weeks, practice is as normally scheduled.  There is Saturday practice on 12/29, but not on 1/5 because of the Taylor Reeves meet on that weekend.

Photo Finish!

Who is that roving photographer?  That is Caryn Pearson who you see at meets working to get pictures of our swimmers.  She has posted her photos of the past two meets - go to Shutterfly to view the slideshow of each meet, and order any pictures you would like. The link is also posted on the Photo Gallery page of the website.  Thanks, Caryn!

Tax Time is Coming Soon
Sorry to remind you of that harsh reality.  When preparing your taxes, remember that every family made a $175 tax-deductible donation to the team at registration.  You can find a letter to document this for tax purposes on the new FORMS PAGE on the team website. There is also a letter to fill in if you have made an in-kind donation, as well as a check request form.

PREPARE TO BE BLOWN AWAY!
